Mahaveer Awards

Mahaveer Awards are Indian awards, given to individuals and institutions who do selfless service for the needy and poor. The awards were instituted in 1995 by the Bhagwan Mahaveer Foundation. The awards are given annually in four categories, namely, Non-Violence & Vegetarianism, Education, Medicine and Community & Social Service. The awards are presented in formal functions by the President, Vice president, Governor of State, or eminent persons of India. The foundation was established in 1994 by Shri N. Sugalchand Jain under the chairmanship of Shri C.
