Mahansar is a small village of 1363 hectares in Jhunjhunu Tehsil in Jhunjhunu district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Mahansar depends on BISSAU, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, which is 37.00% of the total supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and Two handpumps. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Mahansar is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Well. Mahansar's pin code is 331030[4], and village code is 00677000. The area of Mahansar is segregated as 52 hectares irrigated area, 1145 hectares unirrigated, the 93 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 73 hectare area not available for cultivation.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of BISSAU and Jhunjhunu to sell wood furniture and make their living.
