Mahalpur is a small village of 471 hectares in Mangrol Tehsil in Baran district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Mahalpur depends on Mangrol, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - One river, One canal and Two springs. Mahalpur is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Well. Mahalpur's pin code is 325215[4], and village code is 03859600. The area of Mahalpur is segregated as 185 hectares irrigated area, 97 hectares unirrigated, the 18 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 171 hectare area not available for cultivation.
