Madla Kalan is a small village of 7328 hectares in Phalodi Tehsil in Jodhpur district, also known as the Blue City in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Madla Kalan depends on Phalodi, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, One tank, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Madla Kalan is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Tanker. Madla Kalan's pin code is 345021[4], and village code is 01929300. The area of Madla Kalan is segregated as 130 hectares irrigated area, 6401.43 hectares unirrigated, remaining 797.04 hectare area not available for cultivation.
