MVB Records is an American vanity record label founded by Abdel “Sosa” Russell, in Central Florida, in the year 2006. The label’s name has the acronym MVB at the beginning; which stands for My Vision Born. Abdel “Sosa” Russell filed for the label’s trademark in March 2006[1]. The label’s music catalog contains songs featuring mainstream music acts such as Brooklyn musician Maino_(rapper)[2], female Latin Rapper Nitty_Scott, MC, and English musician Mani_(musician). From 2006 through 2010 MVB Records used digital distribution company CD_Baby to distribute their music, but during 2010 they received their first direct licensing deal with iTunes and several other music stores, which officially made them an Independent_record_label.
In 2013 MVB Records became the first indie record label to have musicians participate in Health_insurance and investments, when the label signed their Hip_hop_music artist Ray Bop into an Artist_development_deal, which then allowed the artist to participate in a 401k and health benefits. In 2019 Abdel “Sosa” Russell signed a distribution deal with Beryl Media, a new music aggregator and distribution company that was working with Maybach_Music_Group Hip Hop artist Fat_Trel.
