Müge Turan is a Film_criticism|film critic and programmer based in Istanbul.

Life and career

She has served as Contributing_editor of Time_Out_(magazine) and Empire_(film_magazine). Her writing on cinema has appeared in publications such as Altyazı, Bant and Bir+Bir. She started her position as the head of the film department at the Istanbul Museum of Modern Art in 2008, and since 2016 she continues there as the film curator.[1] She curated the exibition "One hundred years of love - The Affair Between Film and Audience in Turkey"[2] which was shown at Istanbul Modern from September 25, 2014 till January 8, 2015. She has served on International_Federation_of_Film_Critics|FIPRESCI juries at festivals in Dubai International Film Festival, Cannes Film Festival and Toronto International Film Festival.[3] She is currently a PhD candidate in Film_studiess at the University_of_Toronto.[4]
