Lutfar Hasan (Bengali:লুৎফর হাসান)[1] is a Bangladeshi Singer[2][3], lyricist, composer[4] and writer[5]. He was born on February 16, 1979 in Gopalpur Upazila of Tangail District under Dhaka Division.[6] Lutfar Haasan gained popularity by singing a song titled 'Ghuri Tumi Kar Aakashe Uro'[7] written by Someshwar Ali. Apart from singing the song, he also composed the tune The first book written by Lutfar Hasan was published in 2008. Stories, novels, poems, rhymes, the number of books published by Lutfar Hasan till December 2019 is 27. Among his most popular books are 'Fekua', 'Helenchavati', 'Agun Vhara Kalas', 'Jhenai Pakhi', 'Lal Kataner Dukha'[8], 'Wallet', 'Buggy Number J'[9], 'The Year That You and I went to the moon'

Early life

Lutfar Hasan was born in Gopalpur upazila of Tangail district in 1979He completed his Masters from Rajshahi University.

Musical life

Lutfar Hasan has worked on more than six hundred songs till December 2019 by writing, composing and singing. One of the most famous songs he sang is 'Ghuri Tumi Kar Akashe Uro'[10]. His first solo album was released in 2011 under this name. Apart from this, Lutfar Hasan's songs 'Amar Aakash Purotai', 'Bandhu Tomar Khuja Mele Na', 'If Kanna Kanna Lagae', 'Ayna Dee Ghar Kaghechi'[11], 'Kharchapati's Song'[12] have also gained great popularity. In total, he has seven solo albums. More than 50 mixed albums. In his music career, which began in 2003 by writing lyrics, he has worked with Azam Khan, Sanjeev Chowdhury, Bappa Majumdar, Subir Nandi, Kumar Biswajit, Samina Chowdhury, Fahmida Nabi, Shakila Zafar and many others. Worked with various bands starting from Obscure. Mustafa Sarayar Farooqi has worked on television with Ayub Bachchu.Apart from this, Lutfar Hasan has also worked with many poets including Al Mahmud, Nirmlendu Guna, Abu Hasan Shahriar, Alfred Khokon, Marjuk Russell, Latiful Islam Shibli, Zulfikar Russell, Kabir Bakul, Someshwar Ali, Sejul Hossain, Sadat Hossain and Akhtaruzzaman Azad.[13][14][15]
