Luis Charry (born 1976) is a Colombian writer. His novels include Alford (2002)[1], Los niños suicidas (2004)[2][3][4], Ruinas familiares (2010), La naturaleza de las penas (2012), Últimas funciones en la sombra (2018), and a short story collection, La furia de los elementos (2006). His work has been included in Fricciones urbanas: Fricciones urbanas: 11 escritores escriben sobre 11 ciudades (2004) and Palabra capital: Bogotá develada (2007). In 2008 he won the National Poetry Prize for Unpublished Works for his book Las tardes[5]

Life

Charry has taught at Georgetown University and The George Washington University. He teaches at the University of Maryland, College Park.[6]
