Luigi Bordèse (born Luigi Bordese 16 December 1809 - 18 March 1886) was an Italian composer and voice teacher during the early Romantic period living in Paris, France.
Bordèse primarily wrote works for voice, having moved to Paris after attending school in Naples in hopes of being an opera composer.
Career
After attending the Naples Conservatory of Music, Bordèse moved to Paris to pursue a career as an opera composer[1]. He was never able to have much success, and supplemented his income by working as a voice teacher. He continued to compose, and gained some success in the parlor music scene.
