Lucio Oliveri (Milan, October 16, 1934) is a contemporary Italian sculptor, lives and works in Milan, Italy, his hometown..[1][2]
Biography
The artistic vocation of Lucio Oliveri[3] is started in 1954 at the age of nineteen at the time of his father's death, when he decides to make a portrait of him in plasticine.[4] In the seventies he attended for seven years the course of sculpture at the Centro Artistico Culturale Milanese under the guidance of the Maestro Franco Zazzeri, completing his self-taught training[5]. Since several years Oliveri identifies himself in a personalized figurative aimed at expressing moods, human attitudes and feelings through the synthesis and the essential of the human figure.In his work assumes an important importance the attention he dedicates to the hands, anatomical detail on which he often concentrates in his creations and tat he uses as sublimation of grace, sweetness, tenderness and love. Stands out in his production attention and love dedicated to the female universe,[6] often the focus of his most successful works.[7]
