Luís Felipe Neiva Silveira is a Brazilian entrepreneur and investor, born in Brasília (Brazil), who currently serves as the CEO of 2Future Holding, a Future Capital company that connects people, ideas, and businesses aimed at transforming the future sustainably. The company has offices in São Paulo, Miami, and Dubai.

Biography

Born in Brasília on January 7, 1980, and holding a degree in Economics from Centro Universitário de Brasília (UniCEUB), he began his career by managing his father's cardiology clinic at the age of 17.

At the age of 20, he was invited to work at an asset management company, and in 2006, he moved to São Paulo, where he entered the derivatives market at the Bolsa de Mercadorias e Futuros (BM&F), working in the back office of a brokerage firm. He stayed there until 2009 when he started his own derivative trading operations.

In 2011, he returned to Brasília, where he founded a construction company called Qriar Engenharia, focused on housing projects under the "Minha Casa Minha Vida" program, a federal government initiative. One year later, he established another company to provide real estate financing operations for the clients in his housing portfolio. The following year, the company expanded its services to various construction companies and developers across Brazil.[1]

Later on, he realized the need to create a holding company for future investments in the capital market and other sectors. In 2016, he founded 2Future.

Business ventures

2Future supports early-stage startups that are developing solutions to major global challenges. Their diverse portfolio includes companies in the technology, health, and lifestyle sectors.

Brazil

Investments in Brazil focus on the construction industry through QriarCity (formerly called Qriar Engenharia), and in technology through Qriar, founded by him in partnership with other associates. The company specializes in developing, implementing, and integrating cybersecurity solutions for the corporate market.

United States

In 2017, following a trip to Silicon Valley, Luís Felipe began investing in startups. OneSkin, dedicated to biotechnology applied to longevity and founded by four Brazilian women, was one of his first investments. In 2020, after years of research, OneSkin launched its first product in the longevity and skincare line, OS-01[2], a topical supplement containing a proprietary peptide developed by the startup.

In addition to OneSkin, the health and well-being portfolio also includes Oura Ring, a smart ring that monitors people's sleep and activities.

Two investments were made in the space economy sector: SpaceX, a manufacturer of aerospace systems, space transportation, and communications, and Lonestar Data Holdings, which aims to establish data centers on the moon to store data in a highly secure location and provide cutting-edge computing for future space missions[3].

In the technology sector, direct investments were made in companies such as Gallant, a biotech company specializing in regenerative medicine for pets and the storage of animal stem cells for future use[4], and Emerge, which launched a product to incorporate touch into virtual experiences[5]

Portugal

Investments in Portugal are primarily in the lifestyle sector. In addition to QriarCity, a real estate development company, the portfolio includes a few restaurants: O Frade, specializing in Alentejo cuisine, which has been awarded the Michelin Guide's Bib Gourmand several times[6], and Guelra OTT, featuring Mediterranean and contemporary cuisine focused on seafood dishes.

France

Maison Arnaud Boué, which produces white, red, and sparkling wines in Burgundy, one of France's most important wine regions, is one of 2Future's major investments. The wines are produced following the principles of biodynamic agriculture and have been certified as "Organic Agriculture" since 2019, ensuring the use of sustainable agricultural practices in production.[7]

Philanthropy

Behind the investments made by Luís Felipe, there is a fundamental premise: the social impact that business can generate for people and the world.

In addition to impact investments, Luís Felipe also makes philanthropic donations to organizations in areas he believes are crucial for social development: health and education.
