Louise Mckie (born August 24, 1999) is a British model and brand ambassador for Bellator MMA, one of the world's leading mixed martial arts promotions.[1] She has been nominated for the Ringcard Girl of the Year at the MMA awards 2022.[2][3]
Early life and education
McKie was born in Newcastle Upon Tyne and raised by a single mother, Joanne McKie.
Career
McKie began her career in sales before transitioning to the sports and entertainment industry.
She immediately rose to prominence as a model, appearing in campaigns and magazines such as Maxim and FHM.[4] Her striking body and natural beauty attracted the attention of Bellator executives, who offered her a role as a ring girl for the promotion. Since then, McKie has been a fan favorite, renowned for her grace, charm, and stunning beauty. She has appeared in the ring at some of Bellator's most important events, including Bellator 248 marking history as Bellator was one of the first big promotions to host a major event in France, in October 2020, after the legalization of the discipline. As well as this Louise had also attended some of the most significant arenas around the world in destinations such as Dublin and Tokyo where she has shared the octagon with Conor McGregor, Rampage Jackson and 50cent to name a few.[5]
McKie's background in sport and dance has helped her maintain her physique and stay in shape for her role as a ring girl. In addition to her work with Bellator, she has modeled for other large promotions, including Monster Energy. She has even worked as a presenter/host for Ginx Esports TV, covering the latest news and events in competitive gaming.[6][7]
McKie actively participates in mixed martial arts (MMA), having boxed at a local gym as a child and lately traveling to Thailand as a sponsored athlete to train at the world-famous Muay Thai facility AKA Thailand.[8][9] McKie focuses on talent management at her current employment, but she is exploring other options within the sport, such as journalism and cut work, under the mentorship of some of the most esteemed persons in the industry. McKie's social media highlights demonstrate her passion for the outdoors, and exploring varied cultures worldwide.
