Louis Pilfold is a British software engineer. He is best known for his work on the Gleam programming language[1] which reached version 1.0 on the 4th of March 2024. [2] The Gleam programming language can compile and run on the Beam virtual machine as well as compile to JavaScript and run in any JavaScript compliant server side runtime or web-browser.

Today Gleam v1.0.0 has been released! This is the first "stable" release of the language and a big milestone for the ecosystem.
