Longasar is a small village of 3708 hectares in Pokaran Tehsil in Jaisalmer district, nicknamed ""The Golden city"" in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Longasar depends on POKARAN, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, Two tanks, One tubewell, and Two handpumps. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Longasar is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Tubewell. Longasar's pin code is 345025[4], and village code is 02062600. The area of Longasar is segregated as 12.89 hectares irrigated area, 1975.45 hectares unirrigated, the 1670.04 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 50 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Longasar is a census village in the district of Jaisalmer, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 2060 and has total administration over 309 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.
