Lohgara is a small village of 1014 hectares in Bara Tehsil in Allahabad district in the State of Uttar Pradesh, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Lohgara depends on Shivrajpur NP, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One Well supply and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - One river,. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Lohgara's pin code is 212107[4], and village code is 05502200. The area of Lohgara is segregated as 550 hectares irrigated area, 183 hectares unirrigated area. the 383 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 57 hectare area not available for cultivation.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Shivrajpur NP and Allahabad to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
