Lodi is a city that can be found in San Joaquin County, California, and it is situated in the middle of the Central Valley in the state of California. At the time of the census in 2010, there were 62,134 people living there. Census information from 2019 indicates that there are roughly 67,586 people living in the area. According to the most recent official estimates from the United States Census Bureau for the year 2019, Lodi is the 132nd biggest city in the state of California.

Lodi is most well-known for its cultivation of wine grapes, despite the fact that its vintages have traditionally been regarded as being less famous than those produced in the neighbouring counties of Sonoma and Napa. However, in recent years, the Lodi Appellation has been gaining more attention for its Zinfandel and other unique wine varietals, as well as its emphasis on sustainability via the Lodi Rules programme. Both of these factors contribute to the appellation's growing reputation. The song "Lodi" by Creedence Clearwater Revival is largely credited with bringing Lodi to the attention of a national audience. Wine Enthusiast Magazine also recognised Lodi as the "Wine Region of the Year" in 2015.
