Lloyd Moss (November 16, 1926 – August 3, 2013) was a classical-music radio announcer, voice actor and author[1].

He worked for the classical-music radio station WQXR FM serving the North Jersey and New York City area, for a total of 33 years, from 1955 to 1971, and then again from 1989 until his retirement in 2006, one of the longest-serving classical-music hosts in the United States[2]. While at WQXR, Moss was moderator for a show called First Hearing[3], where he read his poem "The Composer's Revenge" during the 20th anniversary of the show[4]. He also hosted This is My Music[5].

During his time away from WQXR, Moss was an actor and voice actor for television and for movies[6] such as The Color of Money[7] and The Soldier[8].

Moss found success as a children's book author, publishing the highly-regarded Zin! Zin! Zin! a Violin in 1995[9]. Illustrated by Marjorie Priceman, it became a Caldecott Medal Honor Book in 1996[10].

An animated version of Zin Zin Zin a Violin was released in 2011, which included Priceman's illustrations and music by Marvin Hamlisch[11].

A streaming version of Zin Zin Zin a Violin was released on Apple+ TV in 2017[12].
