Lizy K Fernandez is an Indian actress, film producer, and Christian music composer from Kerala. She is known for her work in Malayalam cinema, particularly the film Swargam (2024), for which she served as both producer and actress, and won the J. C. Daniel Award for Best Original Story.[1] She is also recognized as a prolific composer of Christian devotional music with over 1,000 compositions.
Career
Film career
Fernandez made her debut as both producer and actress with the Malayalam film Swargam (2024), featuring Aju Varghese and directed by Regis Antony. In the film, she not only produced but also wrote the original story and appeared in an acting role. The project was a collaboration between 15 expatriate producers and Fernandez.[2][3] She is also involved in the upcoming Malayalam film Aghosham, where she plays the role of a college principal while also serving as producer.
Music composition
Fernandez is recognized as a composer of Christian devotional music, having created over 1,000 compositions in multiple languages including Malayalam, English, Hindi, and Syriac. Her devotional songs are widely used in religious services and have gained international recognition through digital platforms.[4]
Media ventures
She is the founder and CEO of CNewsLive, a global news platform with editions in English and Malayalam that operates from the United States and reaches audiences across more than 100 countries. The platform focuses on Christian content while maintaining secular news coverage.[5] Fernandez also co-founded CN Global Movies, a production company that brings together international producers with a focus on meaningful cinema.
