Liz Gereghty is an American businesswoman and politician. She is currently running in the 2024 United States House of Representatives elections]] as a Democratic Party]] candidate for New York's 17th congressional district]].[1][2][3]

Career

Prior to running for Congress she was a member of the Kanotah–Lewisboro School Board]].[3][4]

Gereghty is the owner of Pop Kanotah, a retail catering business. Prior to founding Pop Kanotah she was a media consultant and worked with non-profits.[5]

From 2000 to 2003 Gereghty was a director at Madison Square Garden Entertainment Corp]]. During this period she helped to redesign the company's website and development new media strategies for radio, websites, and emails.[6]

Personal life

Gereghty is the sister of Gretchen Whitmer]], the current Democratic Governor of Michigan]].[7]
