Early Life

Listello N. Walkins was born on September 25, 1992, in Freeport, Grand Bahama. He graduated from St. George's High School in 2009 and began his working life in humble beginnings as a dishwasher at Pisces Seafood House & Pizzeria in Port Lucaya. During the summers, Walkins worked alongside his father, Mr. William Walkins, a well-known contractor, learning the construction trade.

In 2010, Walkins moved to Nassau, Bahamas, to pursue greater opportunities. By 2011, he lived with his relative Vincente Dames, whom he considered a bigger brother. Walkins began working as a procurement agent for BHM (Bahamas Hot Mix), contributing to major projects like the Baha Mar resort and the National Sports Stadium development. His work in the civil engineering field provided him with valuable experience.

In 2015, Walkins became the Director of Pirates Paving, a division of Island Site Development (ISD). Under his leadership, Pirates Paving handled contracts for paving roads and repairing potholes dug by MIYA Bahamas.

By 2017, Walkins decided to leave the traditional workforce to focus on his entrepreneurial ventures. One of his most notable achievements came in 2019 when he partnered with investors to organize one of the biggest concerts in Bahamian history: *Buju Banton's Long Walk to Freedom Tour: Nassau, Bahamas*. As the Chief Operations Officer for Paradise Productions, Walkins led the event, which was held at the National Sports Stadium on March 30, 2019. The concert attracted more than 11,000 attendees, both local and international, and was a resounding success.

Shippello Shipping Company Walkins is involved in *Shippello*, a shipping company he co-founded with Trevor O. Lockhart. Shippello has grown into a key player in logistics, serving customers across the Bahamas.

Big Bird Chicken Shack In 2024, Walkins opened *Big Bird Chicken Shack* on Baillou Hill Road in Nassau, specializing in local Bahamian delicacies such as fried chicken, fish, and conch "in the bag."
