Lindsay Goffman is an American television producer. She is an executive producer on the ABC 2023 drama series, The Company You Keep and was a co-executive producer on The Good Doctor.[1]

Career

After graduating from Indiana University Bloomington, Goffman started in the ICM mailroom. Eventually, she went to UPN to work on seasons two through eight of America’s Next Top Model and Two and a Half Men. At Fremantle, she discovered an affinity for scripted television, which informed her decision in 2011 to go to Gross Entertainment, where she became the Vice President of Development. In 2013, she saw the trailer for the Good Doctor Korean drama, which had a great impact on her, as it reminded her of her son, and led her to become the first champion for its American adaptation. [2] In 2014, Goffman became Head of Development at 3AD, a production company owned by actor Daniel Dae Kim. [3] During her time at 3AD, the American TV series of The Good Doctor went into production at ABC. [4]

In 2018, Goffman left 3AD to start her independent production company, Gratitude Productions. [5] Most recently, she was an executive producer on The Company You Keep, which is also based on the Korean drama, My Fellow Citizens!, and is certified fresh on review aggregator site Rotten Tomatoes. Because of the show’s Korean roots, Goffman wanted to bring Asian American representation to the adaptation, which led her to bring executive producer Jon M Chu onto the project. Goffman also compared her role as a producer to being a matchmaker when bringing on Milo Ventimiglia (who stars in the show and whose company, Divide Pictures, also produced), casting Catherine Haena Kim, and bringing on co-showrunners Julia Cohen and Phil Klemmer.
