Lila Zinter (born January 24, 1942) is an inspiring American saleswoman and game developer. She was one of the first women to lead in the video game industry. Lila helped market Exidy’s arcade games and coin-operated machines. Her work in international sales helped Exidy sell their games around the world. As a woman in a mostly male industry, she showed that women could succeed in the gaming world and inspired others to follow.
Professional Career
Meadows (Before 1977) – Lila Zinter worked at Meadows, a company that made coin-operated arcade games. She gained experience in the gaming industry there.
Exidy (1977-) – She joined Exidy as a marketing director. Before long, she was in charge of selling games to other countries. She helped Exidy expand and sell more games worldwide.
A-Z Handling – Lila started her own company, A-Z Handling.
Personal Life
Lila Zinter was the daughter of the late Carl G. and Genevieve Seward Zinter.
Survivors include her son Shayne Evan Roberts, brother Larry (Marie) Zinter, sisters Shirley France, Nancy (Kurt) Nulty, and Dona (Wayne) Pombrio, and grandchildren Alec, Blake, and Cambria Roberts.
She was predeceased by her siblings Richard Zinter, Carl D. Zinter, Carolyn Dybas, Janet Orlosky, and Robert Zinter.
