Lila Tirando a Violeta is an electronic music producer from Montevideo, Uruguay.
Career
Since her debut album in 2013, she has released over 15 records.[1] She has produced various genres ranging from ambient to Latin club, hard techno to electro pop. She is currently signed to London's notable record label Hyperdub.
In 2020, she released her album 'Limerencia' on the Mexico City label N.A.A.F.I, Followed by 'Desire Path'[2] in 2022, which received significant attention from mainstream press and topped end-of-year lists in publications including Pitchfork,[3] Bandcamp,[1] and DJ Mag.[4]
Lila has performed a live Boiler Room set[5][6] collaborated with several artists including British music producer Loraine James, vaporwave artist NMESH and Ecuadorian producer Nicola Cruz. She has also done mixes for FACT,[7] NTS Radio,[8] KEXP[9] and live sets for Mutek[10], Primavera Sound[11] and Unsound[12] festivals.
