Lianyu Tan is an Australian author of short stories and novels.[1]

Biography

Tan's first book was Captive in the Underworld, a lesbian Hades/Persephone retelling, published in 2021[2] and named a favorite book by romance author Sierra Simone.[3] Her second novel, The Wicked and the Willing, was released in May 2022.[4] The Wicked and the Willing was a finalist for a Lambda Literary Award[5] and a Golden Crown Literary Award.[6] Wizards Vs. Lesbians described it as "one of the strongest and most structurally creative novels we've read for this podcast."[7]

Tan was born in Malaysia but migrated to Australia at a young age.[8] She has autism spectrum disorder.[9]
