Lia Cataldo (born 11 February 2001) is an English-Italian footballer who plays for Bristol City W.F.C. in the FA Womens Championship.[3] A versatile defender she can operate as either a wing-back or centre back.She began her career as a youth player at Arsenal W.F.C. before moving on to play for Millwall (now London City Lionesses) and Leicester City W.F.C..

Club career

After moving to Millwall in the summer of 2018 Cataldo scored her first career goal in a London derby against London Bees on September 19 2018, she scored the equaliser In what would eventually end in a 2–1 defeat for her team. [4]

In summer 2019 she would move on from London City Lionesses and sign a two year contract with Leicester City W.F.C..[1] This proved to be a successful spell which culminated in the foxes winning the FA Womens Championship in the 2020–21 season. [5]

Upon being released by Leicester she signed with Bristol City W.F.C. in the summer of 2021 where she still plays now.[6] In 2023 Cataldo signed for Crystal Palace.[7]

International career

Cataldo has represented England at age group level playing at various tournament throughout the age groups.[8] She is also eligible to play for Italy women's national football team.
