Li Junhua (born August 1962) is a Chinese diplomat that was nominated to serve as the Under-Secretary-General for the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs in 2022.[1] His appointment was announced on 25 July 2022.[2] Previously he had served as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of China to Italy and San Marino as the culmination of this more than 35 year career in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China.[3]
Education and early career
Li holds a master’s degree in international public policy from the School of Advanced International Studies, Johns Hopkins University.
