Levent Geiger (born June 20, 2003) is a German musician and singer-songwriter. He is signed to the music label RCA Records.

Biography

At the age of five he started playing drums. Three years later piano and a little later saxophone. Since he was 12 years old he has also been playing guitar, bass and is active as a singer-songwriter.[1]

In 2014, 2015, 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2020 Levent Geiger took part at the music competition Jugend musiziert. In eight different categories: two times piano solo, two times piano four hands, saxophone solo, saxophone ensemble, piano and a string instrument, twice Drum set (pop), drums ensemble and vocals (pop). There he has won 27 times a first prize (24 times with the highest rating) at regional, state and federal level. He received many special prizes for example: Steinway special prize for outstanding achievements, Sparkasse special prize, Bechstein special prize, pharmacist special prize, and five special prizes from the Deutsche Stiftung Musikleben. From 2017 he was also a three-year scholarship holder from the Jürgen Ponto Foundation. Levent was nominated in all years at Jugend musiziert for the award winner concerts, which were broadcast on the radio and tv (BR-Klassik, WDR, NDR and MDR).[2][3]

2015 Levent also took part in the KIKA songwriting competition Dein Song. He made it with Laith Al-Deen to the final with his song "It's up to me".[4][5]

In 2016 he and his duo partner Ilia Antoniadis represented Germany at the 17th International Steinway Festival in Hamburg.[6] After that he was on a China tour with five concerts organized by the Mozarteum University. One of his greatest performances is a concert with the renowned Chinese star pianist Lang Lang in Passau.[7]

Furthermore, in 2016 Levent was a finalist on the TV show Superkids - Die größten kleinen Talente der Welt on Sat.1.[8] Additional television appearances followed, such as on the Sat.1 Frühstücksfernsehen.[9]

In addition, he released a classical CD Crossing Lines with his piano duo partner in December 2018.[10][11]

2019 Levent took for a second time part in the KIKA songwriter competition Dein Song.[12] With his song "Hottest Girl" he made it into the final again. His godfather this time was Nico Santos.[13]

In 2020, Levent Geiger was selected by the Norddeutscher Rundfunk and Zweites Deutsche Fernsehen to compose the song for Germany at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest.[14] In November 2020 a documentary was broadcast on Kika and ZDFtivi about Levent Geiger and the creative process of songwriting for JESC.[15][16][17] Germany celebrated its start at JESC 2020 with its soulful ballad "Stronger with you", sung by Susan Oseloff.

In July 2021, Levent was signed to the music label RCA Records, a subsidiary of Sony Music Entertainment. On July 30, 2021 he released his pop song Look at me now.[18] The single was nationally in Germany on radio such as Bayern 3, Hr3, Fritz and 95.5 Charivari. Levent Geiger was the artist from Germany, Austria and Switzerland who gained the most new subscribers on social media. With more than four million subscribers, Levent is now one of the largest TikTok channels in Germany.[19] Levent has also built up a large following on YouTube with over 3.000.000 subscribers.

His third single Bad Day was released on February 25, 2022.[20]
