Leslie H. Nicoll (born July 2, 1955) is an American nurse, educator, and journal editor. Nicoll is editor-in-chief of Visions: The Journal of Rogerian Nursing Science which is incorporated into Advances in Nursing Science.[2][3]
Education
Nicoll is a Registered Nurse holding a BS in nursing from Russell Sage College (1977),[4] an MS in nursing from the University of Illinois Chicago (1980),[5] a PhD in nursing science from the Frances Payne Bolton School of Nursing, Case Western Reserve University (1988)[6] and an MBA from the Whittemore School of Business and Economics (renamed the Peter T. Paul College of Business and Economics0, University of New Hampshire (1991).[7]
Academic and professional career
Nicoll held teaching and administrative appointments at the University of Maine and the University of Southern Maine. In 2003, she established Maine Desk LLC to provide writing, editing, and publication consultancy to nursing scholars and professional organizations. .[8] She led the International Academy of Nursing Editors (INANE)[9][10] served on the editorial board of Journal of Holistic Nursing[11] and was appointed Editor-in-Chief of Computers, Informatics, Nursing[12] in 1995 and Nurse Author & Editor.[13][14]
Editorial entrepreneurship
In 2003, she established Maine Desk LLC[15] and founded Writer’s Camp in 2025.[16]
