Lekri is a small village of 910 hectares in Bansur Tehsil in Alwar district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Lekri depends on KOTPUTLI, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, Two tanks, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Lekri is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Lekri's pin code is 301402[4], and village code is 00875000. The area of Lekri is segregated as 168 hectares irrigated area, 193 hectares unirrigated, the 28 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 412 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Lekri has One post office (Lekri B.O) and Three public telephones. Lekri has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Lekri is a census village in the district of Alwar, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 2387 and has total administration over 376 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Scheduled caste counts for 487 (20.40%) males constitute 271 (11.35%) of the population and females 216 (9.05%).

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of KOTPUTLI and Alwar to sell earthen pot and make their living.
