Lawaran is a small village of 2339 hectares in Shergarh Tehsil in Jodhpur district, also known as the Blue City in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Lawaran depends on Jodhpur, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, Two Wells supply, One tank, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Lawaran is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Lawaran's pin code is 342025[4], and village code is 01976900. The area of Lawaran is segregated as 62 hectares irrigated area, 1865 hectares unirrigated, the 231 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 181 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Lawaran has One post office (Setrawa S.O). The village is connected with a single bus service. Lawaran has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

Lawaran is a census village in the district of Jodhpur, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 876 and has total administration over 137 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Jodhpur to sell ghee and make their living.
