Lawan is a small village of 1415 hectares in Dausa Tehsil in Dausa district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Lawan depends on Dausa, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, which is 412.00% of the total supply, Two tanks, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Lawan is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Lawan's pin code is 303004[4], and village code is 01405400. The area of Lawan is segregated as 662 hectares irrigated area, 394 hectares unirrigated, the 91 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 268.15 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Lawan is a census village in the district of Dausa, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 11040 and has total administration over 1789 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

The workforce is 2681 male, 1753 female with 3652 (82.36%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 2419 males and 1233 females. 819 males and 845 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 39 male and 49 female agricultural labor. 782 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.
They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Dausa to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
