Lawal Ijaodola is a Nigerian barrister known for his work in international arbitration. He is a senior associate in G Elias, a law firm in Lagos, Nigeria and has published in Global Arbitration Review.[1] Ijaodola is a member of St Hilda's College, Oxford in University of Oxford.[2] He is also a member of the Nigerian Bar Association and International Bar Association.[3]

Education

Ijaodola earned his Bachelor of Laws with First-Class Honours from Igbinedion University in 2016, First-Class Honours at the Nigerian Law School in 2017, Master of Law with a distinction from Igbinedion University in 2019, and Doctor of Philosophy in Law from Igbinedion University in 2022. He is presently studying Bachelor of Civil Law in University of Oxford.[4] [5]

Career

Ijaodola works for G. Elias. He is the co-author of Global Arbitration Review's Nigeria Chapter on Challenging and Enforcing Arbitration Awards for years 2021 and 2022.[6] He was Counsel to the Claimants in the disputes over construction of the Mambilla Hydroelectric Plant and in Zhongshan Fucheng's investment arbitration against Federal Republic of Nigeria.[7] Ijaodola is a contributor to the Nigeria chapter of the World Bank Group's research on Doing Business.[8]
