Laura Romagnoli (Pesaro, 4 Maggio 1994), also known under her pen name Lallirrr or Average Girl, is an Italian comic book and webtoon artist and author. Her work is distributed worldwide.
Early life and education
Laura Romagnoli is from Pesaro, Italy. She attended university in Bologna, studying comics and illustration at Accademia di Belle Arti and won a scholarship to study at UC Santa Cruz. She also studied graphic design at Istituto Europeo di Design in Milan.
Career
After participating in LINE Webtoon's first global Challenge League, Laura Romagnoli became a featured artist for Webtoon USA between 2015 and 2018 with her humor/slice of life webcomic Average Adventures of an Average Girl.[1], reaching almost 10M views.
In 2019, her series Average Adventures of an Avarege Girl, got its first book adaptation[2] with Becco Giallo Editore. An year later, with the same publisher, she was one of the co-author of Vita da Pomodoro[3] together with her collective, Tomato Comics[4]
Another anthology Laura Romagnoli was part of is Identiche Diversità[5] published by Feltrinelli Comics and curated by Giacomo Bevilacqua.
Between 2021 an 2025, she was working as an editor for Tacotoon.[6][7], one of the first Italian webtoon platforms, by Edizioni BD. While she was an editor, she also published on Tacotoon her original webtoon Of Men and Magic[8], a dark fantasy romance comic set in early 1930s Turin, Italy. Of Men and Magic is being released in english on VoyceMe[9]
Both her series Average Advetures of an Average Girl and Of Men and Magic were nominated as best webcomic in for the Boscarato Awards[10] during Treviso Comic Book Festival in 2019 and 2024.
Laura Romagnoli as also been teaching manga and storytelling for Scuola di Fumetto[11] since 2020. She's also been holding workshops on webtoons and vertical storytelling in different universities like Accademia di Belle Arti di Bologna and Scuola Comics.
Latest works
Laura Romagnolis's latest works include the english printed version Average Adventures of an Average Girl published by Rocketship Entertainment, and her original romance BL fantasy Once Upon A Match on Webtoon Canva, powered by Slap Studio[12], a webtoon prodution studio of which she is one of the five founders.
