Lapla is a small village of 2948 hectares in Baytoo Tehsil in Barmer district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Lapla depends on BARMER, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, Two Wells supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and Two handpumps. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Lapla is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Tap. Lapla's pin code is 344035[4], and village code is 02111000. The area of Lapla is segregated as 2908.96 hectares unirrigated, remaining 38.87 hectare area not available for cultivation.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Barmer to sell woolan blanket and make their living.
