Lal Nagar is a small village of 357 hectares in Tulsipur Tehsil in Balrampur district in the State of Uttar Pradesh, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Lal Nagar depends on Tulsipur (NP), the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Tap. Lal Nagar's pin code is 271208[4], and village code is 06647300. The area of Lal Nagar is segregated as , 892.66 hectares unirrigated area. the 11.15 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves).

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Tulsipur (NP) and Balrampur to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
