Lakhoopur is a small village of 272 hectares in Haidergarh Tehsil in Barabanki district in the State of Uttar Pradesh, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Lakhoopur depends on Zaidpur (NP), the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One Well supply. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Lakhoopur's pin code is 225119[4], and village code is 05841000. The area of Lakhoopur is segregated as 120 hectares irrigated area, 78 hectares unirrigated area. the 0.6 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves) and remaining 16 hectare area not available for cultivation.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Zaidpur (NP) and Barabanki to sell menthol and make their living.
