Lady Christian Leslie (13 December 1661 - 21 April 1710), daughter of John Leslie, 1st Duke of Rothes and Lady Anne Erskine, was a Scottish princess[1]. Her older sister, Margaret became the 8th Countess of Rothes.
Christian was born on December 13, 1661, in Edinburgh, Scotland. She married he first husband, James Graham, 3rd Marquess of Montrose[2], on June 9th, 1681. Together they had at least one son, James Graham, 1st Duke of Montrose, who succeeded his father in his position. James (her husband) passed away on April 25th, 1684.
In 1687, Christian married her second husband, Sir John Bruce, 2nd Baronet[3]. They never ended up having kids together. During their marriage, Christian did help with some of John's work, being kind of a secretary for him. Christian died on April 21, 1710, in her hometown. She was buried in Auchterarder, Perth and Kinross, Scotland, United Kingdom. John passed away less then a year later.
While she was alive for the last few years of her life, she helped her son, James, with some of his work in offices.
