Chief Ladosu Ladapo, Senior Advocate of Nigeria was a Nigerians lawyer, Administrator of the government & politician. He served as Commissioner for Economic Planning and Reconstruction and Commissioner for Works and Transport, between 1971 - 1975 in the then Western State (Nigeria) of Nigeria.
Education
He obtained his Law degree from the University of London in August 1963 and was called to the Barristers in England and Wales Bar as a member of the Inner Temper London in the same year.
Career
He was enrolled in Nigeria as a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court in 1963. He was appointed a Notary Public by the Chief Justice of Nigeria in 1970 and was appointed as a Senior Advocate of Nigeria in 1985.[1] He remained in active practice until his death in 2003.[2] [3] Chief Ladosu Ladapo (SAN) & Co. was established in Ibadan, Nigeria in 1969.[4]
He was an active member of several professional associations including the International Bar Association, the Commonwealth Lawyers Association and a life member of the Nigerian Society of International Law. He was at different times a member of the General Council and the National Executive Council of the Nigerian Bar Association and he was a life member of the Body of Benchers.
He served as Chairman Nigerian Bar Association, Ibadan between 1978-1980[5]
Politics
Chief Ladosu Ladapo (SAN) had a stint in public service between 1971 and 1975, when he served as Commissioner for Economic Planning and Reconstruction and Commissioner for Works and Transport in the then Western State of Nigeria.[6] [7][8]
