Kyoung-An Choi is a 9th-degree Grand Master in Taekwondo. He was born in Korea towards the end of WWII, although his exact birth date is not known. Grand master Choi lived in Korea during the Korean War. He moved to Europe in the 1970s, where he stayed in the Netherlands for about a year before moving to Denmark, where he continues to reside. Grand master Choi is married and has two children, a girl and a boy.[1]

Taekwondo Career

After moving to Denmark, he started promoting Taekwondo in the country. Here he quickly became the national head coach under the Danish Taekwondo Federation (Dansk Taekwondo Forbund) and contributed significantly to elevating Denmark to an international Taekwondo level. He is the first person in Denmark to reach the 9th degree black belt. He established "Foreningen Choi's Venner" (the Choi's Friends Association) through which he serves as the Grand Master for around 30 taekwondo clubs.[2]
