Kyle Walter (Born June 1 1994) is an American researcher known for his work on Russian disinformation and propaganda. He is the Head of Research at Logically (company), a British firm tracking mis-and-disinformation. He helped uncover a Russian foreign influence campaign targeting Africa called Russosphere, which was attributed to Belgian far-right politician Luc Michel, helped attribute the largest Russian fact-checking channel War on Fakes to a Russian state-television presenter, and has gained a significant following on TikTok for his content related to Russian propaganda and disinformation with more than 20,000 followers as of May 2023.[1]

Education

Kyle Walter completed a Masters of Science in Russian and East European Studies at St. Antony's College, Oxford in 2017.[2]

Career

At Logically (company), Kyle has conducted investigations which have gained wide news coverage. [3] [4] A March 2023 investigation he conducted into the popular War on Fakes Russian fact-checking page attributed the effort back to a Russian state-tv presenter. [5]

Kyle's analysis on Russian disinformation and propaganda has been regularly quoted in the New York Times, NPR, and other publications, particularly following the 2023 Pentagon document leaks. [6] [7] [8] [9]
