David Appiah-Kubi better known by his stage name Kweku Afro is a Ghanaian Afrobeat singer.[1][2]He is born on August 28, 1992, in Brong Aharfo region, Nkoranza, but lived and grew up at Abeka a suburb of Accra since age 3.

Early life and music career

Kweku Afro is the first of three siblings and his father's second-born son. He attended the Harrow International School in Abeka and at the age of 14, he moved to Kukurantumi, Eastern region to study Visual Arts at Christian I.P.S.[3] Kweku Afro got his first musical equipment (Guitar) giving to him by a friend Patrick Dei who was traveling out of the country. After Senior High School in 2011, he left home to pursue his musical career full-time. Kweku Afro learned to make beats and record and taught himself to play the guitar too. He also worked with Jaylush, 1 CeDi, ID, CT, Xylo, Na, Obordor to form the music act Limelyte Music. In 2016, He played his guitar at joints to make little earns to support his music, he also played with the characters band for 2years and in 2018 he met the Ceo of twist Night Club and his life turned around.[4][5] 2019 Kweku Afro got signed on the twist Entertainment Legacy Label as the first artist and released songs like MonaLisa and party Papa ft Darko Vibes.[6][7]
