Kuwaniya is a small village of 1822 hectares in Ghatol Tehsil in Banswara district, also known as City of Hundred Islands in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Kuwaniya depends on Banswara, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, One tank, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - One river, One canal and Two springs. Kuwaniya is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Kuwaniya's pin code is 327001[4], and village code is 03402300. The area of Kuwaniya is segregated as 411 hectares irrigated area, 455.95 hectares unirrigated, remaining 185 hectare area not available for cultivation.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Banswara to sell bamboo basket and make their living.
