Kurt Wittin (born 14 September 1974) is a Canadian entrepreneur, influencer, and philanthropist.[1][2] He is best known for his work in the real estate industry and is the founder of Seventeen Pools, a company specializing in building innovative customized container pools and shipping container homes.[3][4]

Born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Wittin has been widely covered in the high tier media for his innovative container homes including PR NewsWire, DotcomMagazine and others.[5][6]

Early life and education

Wittin was born on 14 September 1974 in Winnipeg, Manitoba. He has traveled and lived in the United States for almost seven years. Wittin spent most of his time living in Whistler, Canada.

Wittin pursued a bachelor’s degree in communication from Brandon University and then went to Columbia College, where he studied film tv and business management.


At 18, Wittin started his career in the film industry with film production crews in Los Angeles. During his time in Hollywood, he has appeared in several movies and television shows including, Andromeda, Baseketball, Jurassic Park, Home Improvement, and several others.

Wittin founded Seventeen Pools in 2009, with the aim to build durable and environment-friendly swimming pools. Witten’s company is headquartered in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, and provides clients with energy-efficient construction services. Under the leadership of Witten, Seventeen Pools has gained much popularity and has established its name for its creatively designed cargo containers serving as swimming pools. Witten’s company designs pools that come in four sizes: 20 Feet, 30 feet, 40 feet, and 45 feet long. These pools can also be customized according to the client’s demands.

Wittin is also dedicated to giving back to the community and is engaged with multiple non-profit organizations that support homeless people.

Wittin is a divorcee with two children.
