Kristen Shelley Harris (born November 16, 1976 in Calgary) is a Canadian actress.

Biography

Kristen Harris studied at the Groundlings Theatre Improv School in Los Angeles. She studied voice performance at the University of Toronto’s Faculty of Music to study voice performance. Harris' first professional film role was playing Mary-Louise Parker's sister in the television movie, Vinegar Hill. In 2005, she portrayed Marissa in the Canadian film Lucid.[1] From 2008 to 2013, Harris had the recurring role of Lisa Larkin in the Canadian TV series Less Than Kind, filmed in Winnipeg. In 2011, Harris played the lead role of Beatrice in the Canadian film Passionflower.

Awards

Harris won two awards for her role in Passionflower. In 2011, Harris won the award for Outstanding Performance in a Drama at the Vancouver International Film Festival.[2] In 2012, Harris was awarded an ACTRA Award of Excellence - Best Performance for a Female Artist (Manitoba) for Passionflower.[3][4] Harris has been nominated several times for Best Lead Actress at European film festivals in Berlin, London, Madrid and Milan.[3]
