Kristen Reichert (Kris Reichert, born on March 28, 1972), is a Canadian television presenter based in Italy, former MTV Europe Vj, radio host, model, singer/songwriter, television personality, actress, entrepreneur and public speaking coach.
Early Life
Kris grew up in the town of Brampton, just outside of Toronto, and is the daughter of Carol and folk singer/songwriter Wolfgang Reichert.
After specializing in Theatre and Literature for her 13th year in high school at Cardinal Cardinal Leger, Kris was accepted with high honors into Ryerson University for journalism. She took a one year sabbatical to travel around Europe. Kris traveled and worked as a model in Berlin, Amsterdam, Greece and Milan, before deciding to stay in Italy.
Career
1992-1997: Modeling and Kris & Kris
Kris worked from 1992-1997 as a professional model. While modeling, she met Kris Grove and together founded the iconic duo Kris & Kris and landed the job as VJ’s for MTV Europe.
1998-2002: MTV Europe and other programs
She is known for her collaboration with Kris Grove called Kris & Kris, working as VJ’s for MTV Europe.[1] They hosted programs such as Dance Floor Chart, Stylissimo and MTV on the Beach. Along with the popularity gained from presenting the many in-studio shows, Kris & Kris became iconic MTV Europe VJ's also for their live red carpet interviews during the MTV Europe MTV Europe Music Awards [EMA's], broadcasting live to over 15 countries and interviewing many of the music industry's leading pop stars.[2] Their fame also led to work as television hosts for Sanremo International, CD: Live London UK, as participants in the 4th edition of the Italian L'Isola dei Famosi and as regular guests on the TV morning show Mattino Cinque.[3] The duo also presented along with Italian showman Carlo Conti|Carlo Conte, Sanremo Estate and Sanremo Jazz & Blues. In addition to her work on television, for over a decade Kris hosted a weekend radio show on Italy’s Radio 105 Kris & Love.[4]
2005-2016: Radio 105
Kris & Kris became popular DJ's for Italy's number one radio station Radio 105 in 2005 and hosted various shows spanning over 12 years. Their debut program was called 105 Weekend, which then progressed into Happy Together and in 2012, they launched their trademark show Kris & Love in which they interviewed influential guests and discussed current affairs. Kris & Kris were also the official voices for all of Radio 105|Radio 105's promos. Radio 105 used Kris & Kris for several national billboard campaigns over the years.[5]
2005-2017: The Jains and solo work
As a recording artist, Kris published three albums from 2005 – 2010 with her female, alternative rock power duo The Jains and then in 2017, released her first album as a solo artist: Kris Reichert Chaos in Texas.[6]
2016: Radio Monte Carlo
In 2016 Kris hosted her own weekly live show Kris in the Music on Radio Monte Carlo. Kris interviewed both on radio and video some of the world's top international music artists.[7]
Other Ventures
In 2017 Kris co-founded (along with her brother Jason Reichert) the app Cool Date Night. The app launched on the App Store and Google Play in November of 2019. In 2020 Kris launched her own online coaching program Speak With Impact, where she coaches business professionals in improving their video communication skills.
Personal Life
Kris met and became romantically involved with partner Yan Agusto (former television presenter for Italy’s All Music Channel and E! Entertainment). Kris and Yan announced the birth of their son Dylan Agusto in July of 2013.[8]
