Kris Kollins is an American musician and actor. He released his debut EP Pistachio in July of 2024.[2] His singles "GSAW" and "River" were featured in the Paramount+ feature Noah's Arc: The Movie, based on the LOGO television series of the same name.[3] In 2023, Timbaland found became familiar with Kris as a musician via TikTok[4] and later that year, called him up on stage for an impromptu performance at ASCAP Expo.[5]
In August 2025, Kris was announced as the star of the Pre-Broadway, World Premiere production of the stage adaptation of the film Purple Rain, produced by Orin Wolf with a new book by Branden Jacobs-Jenkins and direction by Lileana Blain-Cruz.[6] Kris will be taking on the role of "The Kid," previously made iconic by Prince.[7] The musical will play the State Theatre in Prince's hometown of Minneapolis.[8]
The same day that Purple Rain began performances, the second season of Adventure Time: Fionna and Cake premiered. Kris can be heard as "Marshall Lee," a role he took over from Donald Glover.[9][10]
