Kotra Bara is a small village of 431 hectares in Garhi Tehsil in Banswara district, also known as City of Hundred Islands in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Kotra Bara depends on Partapur, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Kotra Bara is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Kotra Bara's pin code is 327605[4], and village code is 03407400. The area of Kotra Bara is segregated as 49 hectares irrigated area, 111 hectares unirrigated, the 90 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 181 hectare area not available for cultivation.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Partapur and Banswara to sell cucumber and make their living.
