Kothiya is a small village of 2301 hectares in Shahpura Tehsil in Bhilwara district, also known as the Textile City in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Kothiya depends on Gulabpura, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, which is 432.00% of the total supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Kothiya is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Well. Kothiya's pin code is 311023[4], and village code is 02809200. The area of Kothiya is segregated as 432 hectares irrigated area, 606 hectares unirrigated, the 603 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 659.8 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Kothiya is a census village in the district of Bhilwara, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 4633 and has total administration over 842 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

The workforce is 1257 male, 708 female with 1528 (77.76%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 1124 males and 404 females. 578 males and 281 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 98 male and 63 female agricultural labor. 437 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Gulabpura and Bhilwara to sell earthen pot and make their living.
