Korsand is a small village of 429 hectares in Soraon Tehsil in Allahabad district in the State of Uttar Pradesh, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Korsand depends on Fafamau, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One Well supply, One tubewell and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Tap. Korsand's pin code is 229413[4], and village code is 05417000. The area of Korsand is segregated as 330 hectares irrigated area, 98 hectares unirrigated area. the 20 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves) and remaining 155 hectare area not available for cultivation.
