Kooran is a small village of 962 hectares in Bali Tehsil in Pali district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Kooran depends on Sumerpur, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Kooran is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Kooran's pin code is 306504[4], and village code is 02483100. The area of Kooran is segregated as 66 hectares irrigated area, 290 hectares unirrigated, remaining 606 hectare area not available for cultivation.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Sumerpur and Pali to sell furniture and make their living.
